Board of Directors
Our volunteer Board provides governance, strategic direction, and fiduciary oversight. Board meetings are held quarterly and are open to the public with advance notice.
David Harrington
Retired naval officer with 25 years of service and a lifelong competitive sailor. David brings extensive leadership experience and a passion for youth maritime education.
Susan Mitchell
Attorney specializing in nonprofit law. Susan oversees governance, compliance, and legal affairs. She has served on multiple nonprofit boards in Southwest Florida.
Michael Torres
CPA and financial advisor with expertise in nonprofit fiscal management. Michael ensures transparent financial practices and sustainable growth.
Jennifer Walsh
Educator and community organizer. Jennifer manages board communications, meeting minutes, and community outreach initiatives.
Dr. Amara Okafor
Marine biologist and environmental educator. Amara leads our stewardship curriculum and environmental partnership development.
Thomas Reed
Local business owner and philanthropist. Thomas focuses on community engagement and strategic partnerships.

Captain Sarah Lindell
US Sailing Level 3 Coach, former collegiate All-American sailor. Sarah oversees all programs, staff, and operations.
Mark Stevenson
US Sailing Level 2 Instructor, 15 years teaching experience. Mark leads curriculum development and instructor training.
Elena Rodriguez
Manages registrations, scholarships, and community partnerships. Elena is the friendly voice you will hear when you call.
Chris Park
Certified adaptive sailing instructor and physical therapist. Chris ensures our adaptive program meets the highest standards of safety and inclusion.
📅 Board Meetings
The Board of Directors meets quarterly on the third Thursday of January, April, July, and October at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held at our Bonita Springs location and are open to the public with 48 hours advance notice.
